Our company EAZ Wind B.V. was declared bankrupt on 30 October 2024. We took every measure to resolve the financial challenges on our own, but this was not possible. Due to increasing financial pressures and the changing economic conditions, our only option was to file for bankruptcy. The handling of the bankruptcy is in the hands of the trustee.
The energy transition will continue in the coming decades. There is no doubt about that. We simply have no other option. Small wind turbines remain essential to that energy transition, as they encourage decentralised power generation. Which means a distributed generation of electricity in small-scale locations, rather than keeping the entire load on the central power grid. A problem that is currently occurring and growing rapidly, especially in The Netherlands. We are therefore hopeful of a restart.
The settlement of this, and of the entire bankruptcy, is in the hands of the trustee, Jasper Gevers, DeHaan Advocaten en Notarissen. In case of further developments, we will communicate these through our website.
We are looking forward to a future where the energy transition has a prominent place, with hopefully a contribution from even more EAZ wind turbines.
